Piro Dangles[1] are a fiery relative of Sparks featured as enemies exclusively in the Yoshi's Island series. They first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Piro Dangles are invincible wisps of fire, with faces similar to that of Fryguy. Occasionally, a Piro Dangle's fire temporarily goes out, revealing it to be a white sphere underneath. A Piro Dangle is harmless while its fire is out. Piro Dangles have the same Japanese name as Sparks.

In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Piro Dangles can only be found in a secret room in Burt The Bashful's Fort. These fire creatures simply travel around large blocks, and will hurt Yellow Yoshi if he touches one of them, similar to the Spark from Super Mario Bros. 2.

In Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, they reappear in Endless World of Yoshis, and can now be defeated with a blue watermelon. There is also an unused variant of Boo Blah that has a Piro Dangle on its head.

In Yoshi's New Island, they are found in Beware the Boo Brigade and Fort Key Calamity. Both instances have them appear in a dark rooms.
