Do you understand the concept of a rumor started by a lie? They didn't "remove" Tails and Rosalina, they were just never in. >_>

Players must be on the ground to summon an Assist Trophy's character. If a player is attacked and sent flying after grabbing the Assist Trophy, but before breaking it open, he or she must land before they can call forth the Assist Trophy's character.
 
It has beenwas rumored that [[Rosalina]] from [[Super Mario Galaxy]] and [[Tails]] from [[Sonic the Hedgehog]] games were going to be Assist Trophies, but were removed due to unknown reasons. However, Tails was replaced by [[Shadow]] and then became a background character in Sonic the Hedgehog's stage, [[Green Hill Zone]], along with [[Knuckles the Echidna]] and [[Silver the Hedgehog]].
