The player has to break 10 targets. When the stage is played as a part of Single-Player Mode (in Super Smash Bros.) or Classic Mode (in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl), there is a time limit of 2 minutes. When the stage is selected separately (Target Test), there is no given time limit. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Break the Targets! (under the name of Target Smash!!) will act the same way, but this time, the stages are set outdoors, allowing for a better scenery. There will no longer be personalized stages for each character. Additionally, Items can be found this time, allowing players to smash targets with increased ease. Another add-on is that players can now replay records of the Target Smash!, something that was not in the previous two games. One can even send a game record to another person via Wi-Fi Connection. Despite being renamed Target Smash! in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the announcer still says "Break the Targets!".
