Melee]]'', Charizard would use Flamethrower when released from the [[Poké Ball]]. This would damage all the opposing players. In ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'' (in which Charizard is a playable character rather than a Poké Ball Pokémon), it is Charizard's standard Special Move. When used, Charizard will shoot fire in the direction it is facing, which will damage the opponents, similar to its attack in the first two games, and [[Bowser]]'s [[Fire Breath]]. However, Charizard's Flamethrower causes more damage and has a larger range of effect than [[Bowser]]'s [[Fire Breath]]. [[Kirby]] can use this move after [[Kirby#Inhale|copying]] Charizard's powers. This is actually Charizard's signature move in the [[Pokémon]] series.
