Depending on which princess [[Kirby]] saved at the beginning of the <i>Subspace Emissary</i> story, false forms of [[Zelda|Princess Zelda]] or [[Princess Peach]] will attempt to shoot [[Mario]]/[[Pit]] if Peach is saved, or [[Link]]/[[Yoshi]] if Zelda is saved; however, the other team (Mario/Pit if Zelda is saved, Link/Yoshi
Bowser's Dark Cannon is destroyed; after shooting [[Diddy Kong]], he attempts to shoot [[Fox McCloud|Fox]], but [[Falco Lombardi|Falco]] comes in and destroys the Dark Cannon with his [[Falco Lombardi#Blaster|Blaster]]. Wario uses his own Dark Cannon to turn [[Ness]] into a trophy; however, he is not seen with it afterward.
Much later, when all characters go to [[Subspace (SSB)|Subspace]], Ganondorf uses the last Dark Cannon available to shoot Bowser. He then kicks the Dark Cannon away.
