It appears as the home stage of [[Simon Belmont|Simon]] and [[Richter Belmont]]., Itand is described as being the darkest stage in the game. It is also one of the realm settings that players visit in the [[World of Light]] story mode.

Within the stage, there are candlesticks that, when attacked, will spawn items for the player to use during battle. Several enemies that have appeared throughout the ''Castlevania'' series appear in this stage, suchincluding asa Mummy, Medusa, and Thethe Creature & Flea Man, Death, Carmilla in her mask form, and a Werewolf. [[Dracula]] himself appears as a boss, although he only appears under certain conditions. Kid Dracula from the [[Family Computer]] {{wp|Kid Dracula (1990 video game)|parody title}} and its [[Game Boy]] {{wp|Kid Dracula (1993 video game)|pseudo-sequel}} also makes an appearance as a shadow.
