The Fighting Wire Frames are enemy characters in the game Super Smash Bros. Melee. Replacing the Fighting Polygons from the original Super Smash Bros., the Wire Frames have the same attack pattern as Zelda and Captain Falcon (minus the special moves), and are constructed of purple wires with internal organs visible. They were replaced by the Fighting Alloy Team in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Their level, Battlefield, has low gravity and almost any attack can send them flying off the screen. It appears as the eleventh stage of the Adventure mode. If the player defeats them, Metal Mario (and Metal Luigi, if Luigi is unlocked) fly down and fight.

Fighting Wire Frames can be fought in a Stadium Mode called Multi-Man Melee. Six different scenarios can be chosen here, 10-Man Melee, 100-Man Melee, 3-Minute Melee, 15-Minute Melee, Endless Melee, or the expert leveled Cruel Melee.

Most Wire Frames are weak, and can be KO'd fairly easily, but they can quickly gang up on the player, making them quite dangerous in numbers. However, in Cruel Melee, all Wire Frames are quite strong, hard to KO, and are capable of KOing players at low damage percentages.

Though it is not quite clear what the Wire Frames are, the fact that they are said to have been "built" makes it reasonable to assume that they're robots.

They were replaced by the Fighting Alloy Team in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

| The Multi-Man Melee mode consists of 10-Man, 3-Minute, Endless, and other such matches, which pit you against the Fighting Wire Frames under varied rules. Of particular note is the Cruel Melee, where the Wire Frames pull no punches; they'll come after you with a single-minded fury rarely seen in CPU opponents.

| Who built the Fighting Wire Frames and to what purpose remains a mystery. They're a simple collection of wires which house a sparse framework of bones and organs that lends them a rather disturbing appearance. They look rather big and powerful, but in reality, both their offensive and defensive abilities are subpar.

| This is the female model of the Fighting Wire Frames. The female's abilities are roughly the same as the male model's. All Fighting Wire Frames lack the ability to use special techniques, and their attacks lack any real physical strength. Additionally, they're slow and are therefore easy to outmaneuver. They tend to attack in gangs.
