In ''[[Super Mario 3D World]]'', Fire Mario returns, functioning like in previous games. This time, when Blue Toad becomes Fire Blue Toad, his colors are similar to Fire Yellow Toad. [[Princess Peach|Peach]] now can take the Fire form. Her appearance is based on her sprite from ''Super Mario Bros.'' with her hair tied back in a ponytail like in ''[[Super Mario Sunshine]]'', ''[[Super Mario 64 DS]]'', and later Mario spin-off titles, except the hairband is now red instead of blue. [[Rosalina]] also gains a Fire form and has her hair tied back in a ponytail with a red hairband. The blue parts of her dress become a solid red. Additionally, Fire Mario can grab a [[Double Cherry]] to get a Fire Mario double.
