▲Halberd is one of the new stages for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The Halberd ship as been confirmed to be Meta Knight's, from the Kirby series, stage. It is first appeared in Kirby SuperStar for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, in the mini-game called Revenge of Meta-Knight.
The stage at first takes place on a platform, that is similar in design to the Battlefield stage. However, after a while, it lands on the Halberd itself. The stage continues to be a Battlefield-stage, however, the background has an added gimmick. A double-barreled battery is in the background, which also has an extended robot arm on its side. It will occasionally shoot ray beams, missiles, and even attack with its hand. This causes severe problems for the fighters. Players must use strategy to make the weapons hit their opponents.
The Battleship Halberd also appears in the "Subspace Emissary" story of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. There, it is being piloted by Ancient Minister and the Subspace Army, who attempt to destroy "This World", and pull it into Subspace.
The Halberd, the ship that Battleship Halberd is based on, is named after the creator of the Kirby series and Super Smash Bros. series, HAL Labs.
