Line 340:
*In one of the Prima Guides, it is stated that [[Boom Boom]] is the "forgotten Koopaling". As the Prima Guides have made mistakes in the past, this may not be true.
*While the Koopalings were fought on airships in ''Super Mario Bros. 3'' and Jr. was fought in towers in ''New Super Mario Bros.'', they swapped roles in ''New Super Mario Bros. Wii'', where Jr. is fought only on the Airships and the Koopalings are encountered in the towers of each world.
*When the Koopalings jump from the cake in ''New Super Mario Bros. Wii'''s opening sequence, they are lined up in the same order that they were fought in Super Mario Bros. 3 only backwards.
*For ''New Super Mario Bros. Wii'', the boss music used in Towers, as well as Castles, when fighting them is a remix of the boss theme from ''Super Mario Bros. 3''.
*The word "Koopaling" is likely a portmanteau between the word "Koopa" and "fledgling" or "youngling", which is closer to the Japanese version since "Kokuppa" is essentially "Little Koopa". However, it can also envoke the words "underling" and "sibling", as they function as both Bowser's minions and his children.
*The Koopalings don't have horns on their heads like [[Bowser Jr.]] and [[Bowser]].
*A Viral (yet forgotten) Fan-Fiction done in early 2013 has stated that the Koopalings are actually Morton Koopa Sr.'s children (explaining the "Jr." in Morton Koopa Jr.'s name). In the fanfic, Morton Koopa Sr. is the brother of Bowser and the original King Koopa who sacrificed himself for the Koopalings. During a tough battle with Mario, Morton Koopa Sr. died as a result of the battle (due to being pelted with numerous [[Fireball]]s) and after Mario saved Peach, Morton Koopa Sr. said to Bowser "Brother... Take care of my seven Children..." as his dying wish and then Bowser ascended the throne and took the Koopalings in his care.
