They attack by summoning a jet of flames if the player is in their melee range, but they can also target the player and then summon a white explosion if the player is far away. A large target reticle appears on the player to indicate the magic explosion, but the explosion itself can be dodged if the player moves before the Skuttle Mage attacks. If players are hit by their attacks, their stats drop.
