Madpoles are uncommon enemies that calmly swim on the water surface. They are happy and adorable when left alone but as they spot [[Mario]], [[Luigi]], [[Peach]], [[Toad]], or [[Rosalina]], they swim angrily at their direction, and will keep doing so if they dive into the water. They can be defeated by basically any attack. Madpoles appear in [[Rammerhead Reef]], [[The Bowser Express]], [[Deepwater Dungeon]], [[Sprawling Savanna Rabbit Run]] and [[Pipeline Boom Lagoon]].
