These attacks are basically known as '''Spikesspikes''', and they cannot be Meteormeteor Canceledcanceled nor do they award players with Meteor Smash bonuses. Examples of Spikesspikes include Dr. Mario's late up smash (though it only works on grounded opponents), Fox's d-air, Falco's d-air, Marth's d-air (NTSC only, as it is a meteor smash in PAL versions), Roy's tipped up smash, Ganondorf's Wizard's Foot (only in the air), Captain Falcon's d-air (the so-called Nipple spike if hit within the torso region), and Falco's d-air.
