Paper Macho Podoboo
First appearance Paper Mario: The Origami King (2020)
Species origin Podoboo

A Paper Macho Podoboo is a very rare type of Paper Macho Soldier in Paper Mario: The Origami King. They only appear in Hotfoot Crater, working with small Paper Macho Goombas and parachuting Paper Macho Bob-ombs, referred to as a single entity as "Paper Macho Crater Crashers" in their Collectible Treasure name in the Musée Champignon. They jump out of the lava and bounce on the floor twice in a fixed pattern in an attempt to hit Mario. Unlike normal Podoboos, Paper Macho Podoboos leave behind a short burst of flame in their wake, and can bounce on land without dissipating. They are one of the only Paper Macho Soldiers that have no King Olly sticker. Unlike Paper Macho Goombas and Paper Macho Bob-ombs, Paper Macho Podoboos are not seen deployed from the hole at the top of Hotfoot Crater.
