Pilot WingsPilotwings is a stage that appears in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, referencingbased on the original Pilotwings on the SNES and Pilotwings Resort for the Nintendo 3DS.

The combatants start off on the wings of the red biplane from the original game, taking off of the third island from Pilotwings, flying through rings also from the original. As the battle progresses, players will eventually drop onto the yellow plane from Pilotwings Resort, which makes its way towards Wuhu Island. Here, it will pass the landscape, as well as Miiss flying around with jetpacksjet-packs, flying through the rings from Pilotwings Resort. Afterwards, the yellow plane will meet up with the biplane again, causing the stage to loop.

One of the selectable music tracks in this game is an arrangement of the light plane theme from the original Pilotwings.
