This stage has a very minor role in the Subspace Emissary. After defeating [[Tabuu]], the player can go back to [[The Forest]] stage. There, towards the beginning of the stage, is a newly placed floating red door. Upon entering it, the player will be taken to the Pirate Ship, to battle Toon Link. If defeated, he will become playable. If the player is defeated, they will be taken back to the Emissary map.
The Omega version of the stage in ''Super Smash Bros. for Wii U'' takes place on top of one of the sea platforms. The Pirate Ship itself can be seen sailing in the background.
