The Pirate Ship stage returns as a downloadable stage in ''Super Smash Bros. for Wii U'', for the price of US$1.49. The Omega version of the stage takes place on top of one of the sea platforms, while the Pirate Ship itself can be seen sailing in the background. The normal version of the stage is unavailable in 8-Player Smash, while the Omega form allows a maximum of eight players.
