Poké Balls are items in the Super Smash Bros. series that when thrown, will release a random Pokémon out of the ball, say its cry, and attack. Very, very rarely, the player will encounter a Pokémon such as Mew or Celebi. These Pokémon don't do any damage to anybody, they just fly off screen. However, after the battle, the player will get a huge score for seeing that Pokémon.
A trophy of a Pokéball can also be obtained in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
