Poké Balls are items in the Super Smash Bros. series that when thrown, will release a random Pokémon out of the ball, say its cry, and attack. Very, very rarely, the player will encounter a Pokémon such as Mew or Celebi. These Pokémon don't do any damage to anybody, they just fly off screen. However, after the battle, the player will get a huge score for seeing that Pokémon. The Pokéball will return in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Trophy Information
These balls are used to capture and contain wild Pokémon. Most Pokémon must be weakened in some way before they can be captured, but once they're inside a Poké Ball, they enjoy their new home, since Poké Balls contain an environment specially designed for Pokémon comfort. Master Balls are the strongest type.
