With the use of Action replay players can make Ditto appear out of a Pokéball. However, it simply says its name in Japanese and disappears, damaging any player who touches it. It was taken out of the final version due to causing lag with the [[Ice Climbers]]. However, a Ditto icon is used to represent "Random" whenever players play the "Winner Out" or "Loser Out" modes of "Tournament Melee". Additionally, Ditto is shown in the Pokémon list in the ''[[Nintendo Power]]'' Player's Guide, and even gives a description of what it would do.<ref>''[[Super Smash Bros.
