Port Town Aero Dive (Japanese: ポートタウン エアロダイブ Pōtotaun Earodaibu, shortened to Port Town in European translations) is a recurring location in the F-Zero series and Captain Falcon's home town appearing as a stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and returning in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, specifically based upon the track variation of the Port Town track in F-Zero GX. It is very similar to Mute City from Super Smash Bros. Melee, as the stage is merely a group of platforms hovering across an F-Zero race course at high speeds. Like Mute City, the platforms will eventually stop, forcing the players to fight on the race course, rather than the platforms. Occasionally, the platforms will hover off the track itself, but it will eventually come back to the track. F-Zero Racers will sometimes drive past the fighters while they are on the track and can run into them to damage them, just like in Mute City. However, unlike in Mute City, the F-Zero Racers on this stage can't be attacked, and they can easily KO at below 100% damage.
