Race to the Finish! is a 1-player challenge in Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee. In the former, the player must dodge various obstacles and Polygons to get to the finish. The room is several stories tall and resembles the first level in Donkey Kong in shape.

In Melee, it is incredibly easy to finish, as all the player has to do is run to the nearest door, which is always directly in front of the start with no enemies or obstacles whatsoever. However, there are many doors, and the further they get, the more coins they receive.
The main hallway splits into three sections, one of which the player can choose depending on the character they're playing as. The top tangent is a linear maze with spikes along the walls. The middle hallway contains lava, while that and the spikes are dangerous, none are lethal. The lower area is the only real threat as it's a huge pit with a few small platforms spaced apart. They join together in a final stretch to the last door, which rewards the player with four complete coins.

Both are detailed immensely which is unfortunate because if you want to beat the levels with good time, you can't stop and look around. Super Smash Bros. Melee's level has openings in the wall showing backgrounds, which are very artistic. Once in a while press pause in these levels and appreciate the work the creators did.
