ItHe appears in the Subspace Emissary story of ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]''. During the events of the story, ithe appears out of a lake in the jungle when ithe hears [[Diddy Kong]]. ItHe attacks him with Dragon Pulse, then snatches him in itshis hand. Afterwards, Diddy Kong screams for help, with [[Fox McCloud|Fox]], who was in the damaged [[Arwing]] nearby (which Diddy found earlier), jumping out to help him using [[Fox Illusion]]. After that, Fox and Diddy fight Rayquaza as a boss, similar to [[Petey Piranha]]. Some of its'his attacks involve burrowing into the ground then bursting upwards, or flying with great speed horizontally over the stage. The player beats it by attacking it, around the head.
