Rayquaza is a legendary Pokémon in the Pokémon series. It is the mascot of Pokémon Emerald. It appears in the Subspace Emissary story of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. During the events of the story, it appears out of a lake in the jungle when it hears Diddy Kong. It attacks him with Dragon Pulse, then snatches him in its claws. Afterwards, Diddy Kong screams for help, with Fox, who was in the damaged Arwing nearby (which Diddy found earlier), jumping out to help him using Fox Illusion. Rayquaza then tries to attack Fox with Dragon Pulse, but he uses his Reflector to reverse it back at it. Rayquaza then falls back in the lake. After that, Fox and Diddy fight Rayquaza as a boss, similar to Petey Piranha. Some of its attacks involve burrowing into the ground then bursting upwards, or flying with great speed horizontally over the stage. The player can beat it by attacking it around the head.

Rayquaza | File:Rayquaza Trophy.jpg | GBA Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire | A Sky High Pokémon. It normally resides high up in the ozone layer where it flies endlessly, so it is rarely seen. However, when Groudon and Kyogre began to fight, it appeared to calm them down. It has the ability Air Lock, which blocks all weather-condition effects. It has exceedingly strong abilities, and its attack power is especially remarkable. |
