The Saffron City stage.

Saffron City is a stage in the game Super Smash Bros. The stage is set upon the Silph Co. building, and is home to Pikachu and Jigglypuff. The stage has the most amount of features of any stage in the game. On the right side, there are floating platforms. On the left side of the arena, there is a door leading down the stairs, but when one trys to go down, a random Pokémon will jump out and attack the player. For a complete listing of appearing Pokémon, go here.

Trivia

  • Saffron City is actually a city in the games Pokémon Red & Pokémon Blue. The town houses the sixth Gym Leader, as well as the Silph Building, where the stage is set.
  • Saffron City is the only stage in Super Smash Bros. that did not return in Super Smash Bros. Melee, or have a stage that was extremely similar in Melee, however, some compare it to Fourside City.
  • Saffron City shares its name with a chef in Super Paper Mario.
