The '''Star Rod''' is an [[item]] from the ''[[Super Smash Bros. (series)|Super Smash Bros.]]'' series that originates from the ''[[Kirby]]'' series. It has appeared in ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]'', ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'' and ''[[Super Smash Bros. Brawl]]'' as an attack item. It sends out stars at other [[player]]s to hurt them. Additionally, contact with the Star Rod itself during a swing can cause damage. The Star Rod can only shoot twenty stars, but can be used indefinitely as a battering item. The Star Rod is most effective when used by [[Sheik]], who shoots two stars one after another, or [[Captain Falcon]], who shoots one, then four stars at once.
