It is featured as an item in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]''. A player can shoot energy balls at opponents, either in dozens of small bullets or three huge charged up shots. When a player repeatedly shoots small blasts in a line, the opponent will be unable to move away when hit. The [[devo-gun]]s from the [[Super Mario Bros. (movie)|''Super Mario Bros.'' movie]] are also quite obviously designed after Super Scopes.
