In the ''Mario Party'' series, each character has a taunt – however it is unlockable. This taunt does nothing useful, and the player just shouts something to a character. In the ''Mario Golf'' series when an opponent is about to hit a ball, the player can taunt the opponent – thought this is also useless. If you are playing against another human the taunt may distract the other player. The player can cheer for the opponents as well in the golf series.

The characters who make appearances here are Fox, Falco, [[Peppy]], [[Slippy]], Krystal, Wolf, Leon, and Panther.
Because the dialoguedialog is staged as if allies are observing the fight from the spaceship, the communication always excludes the one who’s engaged in the fight.
Please note, when the spaceship warps as someone is executing a [[Final Smash]], or if the [[Dragoon]] appears, the communication fails.
