Prior to the AKG48's debut in volume 46, a member of the AKG48 named [[Hachiko]] appeared in volume 45.
The AKG48 is first seen in the first chapter of volume 46, where several fans of AKG48 tell [[Mario]] about AKG48, and get Mario to join them to worship Pom Pom.
In the fourth chapter of the same volume, one of the members of AKG48 named [[Pūko]] hosts a Monty Mole themed festival called the [[Mogura Matsuri]] that is sponsored by them.
