A dhampir (son of Dracula with a human woman), Alucard opposes his father's crusade against humanity, having been taught by his mother, in her dying breath, not to hold grudges against humans. Having helped vampire hunter Trevor Belmont defeat Dracula once, Alucard awakens again, sensing a strange evil energy coming from his father's abode, and uncovers a plot to resurrect him.
