Astro Goombas are similar to regular Goombas, but they wear protective space helmets (similar to an {{Wp|astronaut}} helmet), which prevent them from being [[Stomp|stomped]] on. Astro Goombas also seem to be the Goomba equivalent of [[Buzzy Beetle]]s, due to the similar name and the helmet they wear acting similar to a Buzzy Beetle's shell, as they are used to protect themselves from attacks.
