Banana Hoard
Banana Hoard is a grotto that is located below Donkey Kong's treehouse and entrusted by him for protect these huge Bananas due to their magical properties.[1][2]
History
Donkey Kong franchise
In Donkey Kong Country, the hoard was being protected by Diddy Kong during a stormy night.[3] But it was easily stolen by the Kremling Krew due to Diddy's weakness.[4] The portions of bananas from hoard were spread across 6 locations to be guarded by Kremling Krew mercenaries in Kong Island.[5][6] For defeating K. Rool and his minions, all bananas from hoard were completely recovered by DK & Diddy.
In Donkey Kong Land, the hoard was a test target of Cranky Kong which he hires the Kremling Krew to stole again until they are recovered again.[7]
In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest/Donkey Kong Land 2, the banana hoard became an extortion item by K. Rool in exchange for Donkey Kong's return.[8][9] But extortion was refused by Diddy due to hard work of recovering them by DK.[10]
