Two giant Podoboos are present in [[Hyper Hydrants]], a minigame from ''[[Mario Party 3]]''. Each of them confronts a pair of characters by continuously sending moving flames at them. The flames can be doused by having one player pump water and the other player use it to spray the flames via a hose. The giant Podoboos are stationary and will disappear after the minigame ends.

Podoboos can be enlarged with a [[Super Mushroom]] and become Big Podoboos in ''[[Super Mario Maker]]'', ''[[Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS]]'', and ''[[Super Mario Maker 2]]''. They act the same as their smaller counterparts, jumping repeatedly out of the lava at the height they are placed. They can likewise be loaded into [[Warp Pipe]]s and [[Bill Blaster]]s, but they emerge from them with more difficulty than normal Podoboos, as they are larger.
