Brinstar is one of the main planets in the Metroid series, of which Samus Aran is the main character. It appears as as a stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee with two substages - the acid-filled Planet Zebes and the rotating Brinstar Depths. A creature from Metroid - Kraid inhabited Brinstar Depths, and the Chozo Statue would rise to life occasionally on the Planet Zebes.
