Electric goop, also known as green goo, is, aas typeits ofname states, goop infused with electricity. Its color consists of a mixture of teal and yellow, and it has electricity visibly surging from it. ElectricThis gooptype onlyof appears in Super Mario Sunshine, andgoop is found only in Sirena Beach. When Mario touches thisit, goophe is electrocuted, itdealing damagesdamage and briefly stunsstunning him,. andTouching it also causes hisMario's colors to be inverted momentarily. Because of their thick soles, the Piantas cleaning staff members of Hotel Delfino are unharmed by electricthe goop; becauseNokis ofsink theirinto thickit soles, much like Piantas and NokisToads aredo alsoin unharmedregular bygoop. In theSirena Beach's first episode of Sirena Beach, The Manta Storm, the Manta covers a large portion of the beach in electric goop, causing Hotel Delfino to become stuck underground (much like trees and other structures do into regular goop). The Manta spreads goop behind itself and its copies during the ensuing boss battle. After Mario defeats the Manta, all of the goop disappears and the hotel rises back out of the ground. The electricElectric goop reappears in graffitiSirena form in theBeach's sixth episode, Scrubbing Sirena Beach, where it is shaped like a smiling Boo and covers most of the beach in front of Hotel Delfino. Mario has to clean all the goop off the beach within three minutes to earn a Shine Sprite.

Unlike the similar burning goop, electric goop can deal damage to Mario even if he steps on a tiny speck of it on the ground, compared to burning goop requiring a slightly larger concentration.
