Gēru are lizard-like enemies which appear in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. They are often considered to be the predecessor of Lizalfos from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Gēru wear black armor over their torso and carry a shield. They exist in different color variations, each using a different type of weapon. Gēru are about as tall as Link. Gēru are the strongest overworld enemy, and their attacks are almost the same as Iron Knuckles. The weakest are orange Gēru, who carry one-handed spears that they attack high and low with. Red Gēru are the middle-class in difficulty, carrying maces that can pierce through Link's shield. Blue Gēru also carry a mace except they try to throw it at Link, and he cannot block it.

Gēru demonstrate some tactical mindset, as they build giant, wooden walls at choke points where Link is forced to pass. Red Gēru stand up from behind the wooden wall and hurl rocks in groups of three.
