Gardevoir is a Psychic/Fairy-type Pokémon (purely Psychic-type prior to Generation VI) that is one of two final evolved forms of Ralts and Kirlia as of Generation IV (the other being Gallade). As of Generation VI, Gardevoir can Mega Evolve into Mega Gardevoir. It has appeared in the Pokémon series since Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.

Starting with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Gardevoir appears as Poké Ball Pokémon. When summoned, it uses Reflect to create a large circular barrier around itself and wanders around the battlefield. Despite being harmless, the shield can deflect projectiles back at the foes, although it does not affect those who summoned Gardevoir.

In Smash Bros., it uses Reflect to turn back projectiles and items launched toward it. Helpfully, it won't affect any of the shots from the player who summoned it. Take advantage of this!
