A '''Gold Bro''' (also called a '''Coin Bro''') is a golden variant of the [[Hammer Bro]], [[Boomerang Bro]], and [[Fire Bro]] found in ''[[New Super Mario Bros. 2]]''. They are transformed into Gold Bros if [[Mario]] or [[Luigi]] touches a [[Gold Ring]]. Gold Bros throw [[coin]]s, rather than [[hammer|their]] [[boomerang|usual]] [[fireball|weapons]]. They will only hurt the player if direct contact is made with it from above or the side.
