Luigi returns in ''[[Super Mario 3D World]]''. Like with pastearlier 3D ''Mario'' titles, heLuigi retains his trademark abilities, being able to jump higher than the other playable characters, but stopping more slowly when moving on the ground.

Luigi is also featured as the playable character in the game's "[[Luigi Bros."]] minigame, a gamewhich identicalplays tolike ''Mario Bros.'' but featuringhas Luigi as the main playable character.
