However, in this version, Mario gets slower as he grabs more treasure. To counter this, Mario can throw all of his treasure, which lightens his load and can stun one of the octopus's tentacles for a brief time. At 200, 500, and 700 points, Lakitu will drop a Heart to recover a miss. In Game & Watch Gallery 4, the Octopus changes color every 200 points. |

Octopus is a Game & Watch game where the player must get as many gold as it can. However, he or she must watch out for the Octopus near the treasure. If he or she hit it's tentacles, the player loses a life. losing all lifes, means it's a Game Over. It also appears in Game and Watch Gallery, Game & Watch Gallery 4, and Game & Watch Collection 2. Also in Game & Watch Collection 2, one game combines this game together with Parachute.
