Octoroks are amphibious, and some of them dwell on land while others live in the water. Octoroks are one of the most common enemies in ''The Legend of Zelda'' franchise, and they debut in the first ''[[The Legend of Zelda]]''. Octoroks are usually colored red, but some games like ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time]]'' have them colored purple.
