Ornes are ghost-like monsters from Kid Icarus: Uprising. They are floating skulls shrouded in a purple, dark aura, and said to be the carrier of lost souls. In the original game, they are invincible, meaning that they will nullify any weapons except the Arrow of Light. Ornes will defeat any player who makes a contact with them.

Ornes appear as a rare, slow moving Smash Run enemy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. Like in the original game, they are invulnerable to any attacks, and instantly KOs any player who touches one. While they do not attack, they will chase after the player. Players can tell if an Orne is nearby by the 8-bit music that plays whenever one appears in Kid Icarus: Uprising. A single Orne accompanied by Souflees also always appear in the normal level of the Survival Challenge Door.
