The Prince of Sablé is the unnamed main protagonist of the Japan-exclusive Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru (literally "The Frog for Whom the Bell Tolls"), released on the Game Boy. In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U the Sablé Prince appears as an Assist Trophy. He attacks players by transforming into a frog and hopping around, then transforming into a snake and slithering across the ground. If he encounters any opponents, then he traps them in a smoke cloud and continuously attacks them, similar to battles in his game of origin; other players can also be caught in this. Afterward, he transforms back into his human form. The Prince of Sablé also appears earlier as a Sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, here referred to as the Sabure Prince. His sticker increases the power of freezing attacks by 31.

|A naive but kind prince in the Game Boy title Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru. He sets off on a journey to the Mille-Feuille Kingdom to rescue the kidnapped Princess Tiramisu. If you summon him in this game, he'll turn into either a frog or a snake. When a foe gets close, he'll kick up a cloud of white smoke and go on the offensive.
