In Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, Ragumo appear exclusively in the Tree Zone's first stage and can be found in low-lying areas, such as pits or ditches. To attack, a Ragumo will burrow underground and attempt to pop up in Mario's path. Unlike their relative however, Ragumo do not chase Mario and only damage him if he comes in contact with them. Mario can defeat a Ragumo by simply jump on them before or after they are out of the ground. Fireballs are also an effective way to defeat a Ragumo, though this only applies once the Ragumo is surfaced, as the fireballs will simply miss the Ragumo while their still underground.

Ragumo appears in two volumes of Super Mario-kun, as a part of the Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins arc. Like most enemies featured in Super Mario-kun, Ragumo acts similarly to how they do in their source material. Notably, in volume 6, the Ragumo is redesigned to heavily resemble a Monty Mole (although the Ragumo still keeps their signature drill), likely due to Ragumo being a relative to Monty Mole.
A singular Ragumo appears in the final chapter of volume 6 as a major enemy

Ragumo appear throughout the Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins arc of the Super Mario Kodansha manga.
In the first Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins volume, several Ragumo emerge out of the ground and surround Mario, Peach, and a friendly Battle Beetle, alongside the other Tree Zone inhabitants. However, Mario eats a Carrot to become Bunny Mario and uses his flight abilities to quickly escape from the Tree Zone enemies while carrying his friends. Much later, a Ragumo can be seen in one of the tunnels in the Macro Zone's [[
In the third Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins volume, a Ragumo can be seen as one of the several enemies that Mario and Luigi quickly pass by on their way to Wario Castle. Later on, a Ragumo, alongside other Tree Zone inhabitants, can be briefly seen as Wario announces his plan.

Super Mario 4koma Manga Theater
Ragumo would make an appearance Super Mario 4koma Manga Theater, behaving similarly to how they behave in their source material. Interestingly enough, Ragumo's appearance in this manga reveals that they cannot handle the sunlight, and will retreat back underground if blinded by it.
Ragumo would make their only appearance in the self titled "Ragumo" (ラグモ) strip from volume 8, in which a Ragumo would wait underground for Mario to pass by in order to ambush the unsuspecting plumber. Unfortunately, as the Ragumo attempted to ambush Mario, the Ragumo would then be blinded by the sun and quickly retreat back underground. The Ragumo would then monologue on how the sun was an unexpected strong enemy to them, as the Ragumo's child tries to get their attention (also revealing that the Ragumo in the story is a father).
