Slippy Toad is a member of the Star Fox team in the Star Fox series, and he makes his debut in the first Star Fox game. Slippy is the mechanic of the team, and is less experienced at piloting an Arwing.

Super Smash Bros. series

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Slippy is featured in both Fox's and Falco's smash taunts on both the Corneria and Venom stages. Slippy is also featured in the event match Lv. 23: Slippy's Invention, in which he has inveted a Cloaking Device that makes Fox and Falco invisible.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Slippy is featured in Fox's, Falco's, and Wolf's smash taunts in Lylat Cruise and Corneria, which is a returning stage. In Shadow Moses Island, if Snake does a codec conversation on Falco, instead of one of Snake's team members giving a call, Slippy appears by hacking the system.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, an unused script had Slippy calling Fox back along with Peppy. Also present within the game files are sprites of Slippy in a radio conversation portrait similar to his in Star Fox 64.

Super Mario Maker

Slippy also appears as one of the Mystery Mushroom costumes in Super Mario Maker. It is unlocked randomly after completing 100 Mario Challenge on Easy setting or harder. The costume's sound effects are the same as Fox, Falco and Peppy's. Upon obtaining the Slippy costume, a voice clip of Slippy from the original Star Fox plays.

Slippy Toad is featured in the book How to Draw Nintendo Greatest Heroes & Villains.

Slippy Toad is a property in the 2006 version of Nintendo Monopoly, taking the place of Oriental Avenue, and he costs $100. In the 2010 version, Slippy was replaced by Rosie from the Animal Crossing franchise.

Trivia

  • In 2023, Nintendo Switch user icons of Slippy, based on his appearance in Star Fox 64, were made available exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers. As a result, if a player uses one of these icons, it will appear on balloons placed within Balloon World in Super Mario Odyssey.
