The Squid Sisters are Inklings that debut in Splatoon but make their first Mario appearance as costumes in Super Mario Maker. In the latter, they are unlocked by completing the "Squid Sisters vs. Bloopers" event or by scanning a Callie or Marie amiibo. Their game over tune is the same one used as the "Splat!" theme in Octo Valley.

They reappear in WarioWare: Gold, and Wario will sketch a Callie or Mario depending on the amiibo being used. Their latest appearance is in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where they appear as an assist trophy, spirit, and Round 6 DLC Mii costumes, with Callie being a Brawler and Marie being a Gunner with the Hero Shot.
