His first ''[[Mario (franchise)|Mario]]''-related crossover is in the German-only ''[[Club Nintendo (magazine)|Club Nintendo]]'' comic "[[Super Mario: Mario im Wunderland]]." Whispy Woods is the first creature [[Mario]] encounters in [[Wunderland]] when he accidentally gets there. He does not serve as an enemy here, though; rather he advises Mario to go to [[Crab (character)|Crab]], a wizard who is able to fulfill desires.
Whispy Woods also appears in ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]'' in the [[Dream Land (Super Smash Bros.)|Dream Land]] stage. Occasionally, he will blow in a certain direction, sometimes sending players off the stage.
