'''Wily Castle''' is a stage that appears in both ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U|''Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS]]'' and ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Wii U'']]'' and a recurring location in the [[wikipedia:{{wp|Mega Man|''Mega Man'' series]]}}. The castle itself is based on its appearance from ''{{wp|Mega Man 2}}''. While both versions are near-identical, the [[Nintendo 3DS|3DS]] version will taketakes place during the day, while the [[Nintendo Wii U|Wii U]] version will taketakes place at night. The main body of the stage is flat, with two floating platforms on either side, suspended beyond the body of the stage.

The main body of the stage is flat, with two floating platforms at either side, suspended beyond the body of the stage. In the Wii U version of the stage, rails like the ones from ''Mega Man 2''<nowiki>{{'</nowiki>}}s Crash Man stage and the fourth Wily Castle stage will appear around the left platform, and the platform will movemoves along the rail. Similar to Guts Man's stage from ''Mega Man'', these rails will have breaksgaps in them which, when the platform crosses them, theycause willthe platform to drop temporarily until it reaches a solid rail again. There may be more than one possible rail configuration.

In the Nintendo 3DS version, platforms occasionally appear above the stage that fly back up after a while. In addition, the pendulum platforms from Bright Man's stage in ''Mega Man 34'' occasionally appear on both sides of the main platform, and move back after a while.

At random times in both versions, the [[Yellow Devil]] will appearappears in the background, disassembledisassembles and flyflies up, then descenddescends and reassemblereassembles on the stage. When the Yellow Devil is formed, it will attackattacks the players with its own body until it is defeated by taking a sufficient amount of damage from the players, though only its eye is vulnerable. Once defeated, the Yellow Devil will explodeexplodes, and this explosion will countcounts as an attack for the player who landed the final blow.

Wily Castle reappears in ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'', where hazards from both the 3DS and Wii U version make an appearance.
One of the selectable tracks for the stage is an arrangement medley of ''Mega Man 2''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s boss intro theme, title screen theme, and the theme from the first two Wily Castle stages. Another music track known is an arrangement of Spark Man's theme from ''Mega Man 3''.
