Young Link, named Child Link on one occasion,[1] is a child incarnation of Link featured in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. His first appearance outside of The Legend of Zelda series, and by extension crossover with Mario characters, was in Super Smash Bros. Melee, which is the first game to explicitly refer to him as "Young Link." In The Legend of Zelda series, he is synonymous with Link, but in the Super Smash Bros. series and Hyrule Warriors, Young Link is recognized as a standalone character.
