The Banana Hoard is Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong's bounty of countless bananas, usually located in a grotto called the banana cave[2] directly below DK's Tree House. The Banana Hoard first appears in Donkey Kong Country, and makes several of its appearances within the Donkey Kong Country series. The Banana Hoard is desirable to various villain groups, usually the Kremling Krew, whose motives for stealing it have been mostly unclear (although it is suggested to be because of their potassium and Vitamin A),[3] but it has sometimes been stolen by other villain groups, such as the Tiki Tak Tribe in Donkey Kong Country Returns, who used the pulp of the bananas as a source to create an army of Tikis.
